Summer Family Fun

Summer is wrapping up (Todd goes back to school on Monday), and we're so sad to see it end. It has been a memorable summer with Todd & I both home with Samuel. Besides coaching XC every morning, we've had rest of the day to relax, explore, and play together.

Todd completed his Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration earlier this summer! He's had a lot on his plate these past few years while working on this degree, so it's such a relief for him to be done. Congrats, Todd!

Samuel is 13 months now and is such a happy, easy going little boy. He loves to walk, kick balls, climb on furniture, and read books. He is independent & oh so curious.

Since I haven't written an update on this blog in several months, there's a lot to share.

Sam loved going to all the high school track meets

The boys team won the 4x400 meter relay in closest finish I've ever seen

The boys team took 2nd place at state!

First race since Sam was born. New PR and an overall victory!

Sam enjoyed wearing my medal :)

We spent the first couple weeks of July on a road trip! We visited Glacier National Park, and then continued north into Alberta & British Columbia. We went to 5 national parks in Canada. We had so much fun and saw so many beautiful lakes, waterfalls, mountains, and more. Sam is a great travel companion!

When we got back to SLC, Todd's family came to visit! We were glad to have family in town for Sam's birthday party. We went up into the mountains a few times to hike and escape the valley heat.

Mom came to visit for a long weekend! We went to East Canyon Reservoir, which was really beautiful! We also drove up to the Uintas, went to the zoo, and the downtown farmer's market.
