36.5 weeks

We are now within 1 month of our due date! We are feeling ready fr him to make his grand arrival in some ways...but hoping he doesn't come too early in other ways. We had our 36 week appointment last week, and the little guy has grown quite a bit in the last 2 weeks! He's still supposedly on the small side, which I don't mind! But things could change in the next 3.5 weeks.

36 weeks

We spent Memorial Day Weekend in Canyonlands National Park. We explored the Needles District of the park--an area we had not seen previously. We did some nice, short hikes on Saturday & Monday and then a long hike on Sunday. The views were incredible! We used our brand new tent and enjoyed having space to set up our air mattress inside. I slept quite well despite being 33 weeks pregnant...besides needing to get up a lot :).

Bonnie hosted a baby shower in Minnesota for Baby Mitchell on June 5th. I had a great weekend with family and really enjoyed the shower. Todd's grandparents came up from Iowa and my Mom, Holly, & Lily drove over from Michigan! Grant was even able to catch a flight from Chicago. The baby shower was beautiful and it was good to see many of the Mitchells' family friends. Holly's birthday was on the Monday following the shower. We spent the day at the Minnesota Zoo!

A beautiful wall hanging made by Bonnie!

Thanks to Bonnie & Paula for hosting & planning the shower!

Jake & Alissa Baker spent several days with us in Salt Lake City. Alissa's brother got married in eastern Washington, but the Bakers flew into and out of Salt Lake City so we got to see them on both ends of their trip! We got an unusual amount of rain while they were here, so we played a lot of board games! We did get out for a quick hike to Clayton Peak--a hike Todd & I hadn't done before. Always good to catch up with high school/college friends!

Todd spent last weekend up at Bear Lake for Cross Country Team Camp. We usually have team camp in late July...but that just wasn't going to work this year with Baby Mitchell coming! Team Camp was a success...lots of scenic runs, fun games, goal setting, team bonding, and swimming. We're looking forward to another great year of Olympus XC!

While Todd was at Bear Lake, I went to a beautiful baby shower hosted by Jessie Strike & Amanda Rottman. Baby Mitchell is receiving a lot of love already!

Thankful for all these wonderful ladies!

These next few pictures are from the XC Team Baby Shower...I just got these pictures recently :)

We bought a new car a few weeks ago. It's a 2013 Subaru Forester. We've really liked it so far! After 5 years of being a one-car family, we've graduated to each having our own car. Now we just need to install our car seat!

We'll have to see how many more of these posts I write before baby arrives...
